This year, Sport Manitoba is offering three types of sessions to choose from: position- specific camps, a performance camp, and a beginner camp. For questions regarding the camp’s plan or player eligibility, email matthew.ginter@sportmanitoba.ca
Position-Specific Sessions
Take your game to the next level with focused, hands-on coaching designed just for your position. With smaller group sizes, you’ll get personalized feedback and a strength and conditioning program tailored to build on your strengths and improve key areas. Whether you’re a setter, outside hitter, or middle, these sessions will help you sharpen your skills and gain more confidence on the court.
- Includes 6 x 90-minute on-court sessions over six weeks
- Includes 12 position-specific strength and conditioning sessions (2 per week)
- U15/U16 and U17/U18 groups available for each camp
- Only 8 slots available per group (4:1 athlete to coach ratio)
- All sessions take place at Sport Manitoba, 145 Pacific Ave
- $600 per athlete
Setters Camp
As a setter, you’ll work on becoming a vocal leader, mastering ball placement, and learning different ways to attack at the net. Agility, speed, and footwork will be a big focus to help you move efficiently and set up plays with precision.
Outsides Camp
As an outside hitter, you’ll expand your offensive skill set and learn new ways to score beyond just powerful hits. You’ll practice using these techniques at game speed, improve transition hitting, and refine your passing to become a more well-rounded player.
Middles Camp
As a middle, you’ll develop strong blocking skills by learning how to read the game, anticipate the setter, and move with agility. You’ll also work on vocal leadership to help your team stay in sync during broken plays and practice different approaches to keep opponents guessing.
Performance Camp
Shake off the rust and step up your game with an intense, high-energy camp designed to sharpen your skills ahead of school volleyball tryouts. You’ll work on both defensive and offensive tactics, fine-tune your blocking footwork, and learn what to look for when reading an attack. A great offense starts with an even better defense, so expect to spend time reinforcing strong defensive play to make you a smarter, more effective player on the court. Our Performance Camp also includes group strength and conditioning sessions following a program designed for volleyball athletes.
- Includes 6 x 90-minute on-court sessions over two weeks
- Includes 6 group strength and conditioning sessions
