Front of the Pack: Athlete
Combine

The Manitoba Games are situated along the Manitoba Performance Pathway. For some athletes, it is the starting point, and for others, it is a continuation of their journey toward sporting excellence.

Through the Manitoba High-Performance Plan, More Athletes with a Better Shot at a Younger Age, we are delivering our Front of the Pack testing program at the Manitoba Games. This is a talent identification/talent transfer program aimed at athletes aged 12-16 in order to close developmental gaps and create awareness of sports with the highest potential/ceiling.

Participants will perform the following physical tests under the guidance of Sport Manitoba’s Performance Specialists (*only during evening Community Session.):

– 30m Sprint
– Agility Pro
– Push-Ups
– Vertical Jump
– Broad Jump
– Grip Strength
– Chin-Ups*
– Beep Test*

The combine will run in three stages on Wednesday, August 14:

STAGE ONE: Open to Manitoba Games athletes competing in Phase 1 of the Games

– 2nd Wave – 11:00am

STAGE TWO: Open to Manitoba Games athletes competing in Phase 2 of the Games

STAGE THREE: Open to local athletes unaffiliated with the Manitoba Games (*registration required)
