KidSport Manitoba Program Assistant

Full-Time Position (35 hours per week)

Sport Manitoba is looking for somebody dynamic, innovative, and high-energy with a passion for sports to join its team. Sport Manitoba administers KidSport – a national charity that enables less fortunate children to participate in sport. This position is responsible for KidSport administrative, promotion, and event support for all related KidSport activities. Duties include processing applications, accurately entering information into the program’s database, ensuring grants are distributed correctly and on time, maintaining KidSport Manitoba’s website and social media channels, and supporting the KidSport Manitoba Program Coordinator as needed.

 

Qualifications
  • High School degree or equivalent with some advanced related education preferred
  • Previous experience in administrative support, event coordination, and/or communications
  • Effective management, organization, and prioritization of office functions
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively with others to achieve results
  • Meticulous attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to use and manage various social media platforms
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be willing to occasionally work evenings and weekends as required
  • Experience with software programs (WordPress, Mailchimp, etc.) is an asset
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
