Dr. Peter Porritt passed away on August 23, 2019 at the age of 96.
Dr. Porritt was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame as a Builder in 2000 alongside his son Trevor who was honoured in the Athlete category. They were the first inductees from the sport of field hockey.
The former Chief of Orthopedics at Grace Hospital organized field hockey at Pan Am and Olympic Games and served on the international body for many years.
