Coach of the Month in Partnership with Global News

Sport Manitoba Coaching's Coach of the Month in partnership with Global News program recognizes outstanding Manitoba coaches in action. Nominations are accepted for coaches at all levels of sport (grassroots through high performance) who make extraordinary contributions to sport and athlete development.

Deadline for nominations is the 10th of each month.

Nomination Guidelines

  • The coach must be actively coaching in Manitoba and must have completed at least one component of the National Coaching Certification program (Theory/Multi-sport module, Technical or Practical). 
  • Family members are not eligible to nominate coaches. 
  • The coach who is selected Coach of the Month must approve and consent to disclose the information provided on the nomination form to Global News and make themselves available for production of an on air video segment to Sport Manitoba Coaching for promotional purposes.  
  • Coaches who are selected as the "Coach of the Month" (in Partnership with Global News) will be featured on Global News the last Monday of the month.
