Evelyn (Wawryshyn Litwin) Moroz passed away on February 3, 2022 at the age of 97. You can read her obituary here.
Softball and baseball superstar Evie Moroz (nee Wawryshyn) was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 1992. Locally, she starred with the CUAC Blues and later with the Muskegon Lassies for 5 years in the All American Girls Professional Baseball League, winning the pennant in 1947. She was a three-time all-star from 1948-50.
