With busy lives, it is very hard for parents to keep their children active. The World Health Organization recommends a minimum of 60 minutes of physical activity per day. Parents sometimes do not know how to make their kids more active, or what sport their kids will like. Some kids do participate in a sport but often they only concentrate on this one sport, which can lead to burnout, boredom and injuries at an early age.

A multi-sport summer camp provides the opportunity to develop skills not only in their preferred sport but also gives them the chance to try other sports.

Active for Life, a Canadian not-for-profit social initiative founded by B2ten, explains why specializing early in one sport is a bad idea. Read the article here.

Sport Manitoba’s summer camp aims to introduce kids to a variety of sports and will enable them to learn fundamental movement skills to help build an athletic foundation for future success.

We’re also offering sport sessions, reaction and communication games, strength and conditioning training, fitness classes, performance testing, Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame trivia, special guest speakers and more.
