The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and its community is saddened by the recent passing of Faye Finch.
Finch passed away on April 21, 2025.
Softball was the sport Finch played first and last and the one where she earned the most honours. She also competed at the national level in, athletics, volleyball, team handball, and touch football.
Finch competed in the first Canada Summer Games in 1969 and won the 1968 and 1972 Canadian championships with the CUAC Blues.
Off the field, Finch’s life also was devoted to sport. She worked for the Manitoba Sports Federation and Sport Manitoba for close to 30 years before retiring in the Fall of 2013.
