As the insurance season approaches, we’ve compiled answers to common questions about our services, billing, and clinic procedures. This guide will help you navigate your visits with us and ensure you’re fully prepared.
Insurance Billing
Q: What insurance companies do you bill to?
A: We direct bill to Canada Life, MB Blue Cross, Green Shield, and Medavie.
Q: What is covered by MB Health?
A: All doctor appointments are covered by Manitoba Health for residents with a current health card from any province or territory in Canada (excluding Quebec). Manitoba Health also covers X-rays, which we have on-site.
Q: Are there any extra fees?
A: Additional fees apply for some elective services, such as cortisone injections and any forms that need to be filled out.
Q: Do I need a prescription for allied health appointments?
A: No prescription is required to book an appointment with allied health providers. However, some insurance plans may require a prescription for coverage, so it’s best to check with your insurance provider before booking. For example, one insurance plan may cover physiotherapy without a prescription but requires a prescription for massage therapy.
Q: Do I need a referral?
A: No referral is required to book an appointment.
Q: Do you accept WCB or MPI bodily injury claims?
A: Yes, our physicians, chiropractors, and physiotherapists accept WCB and MPI claims.
Q: What should I bring to my appointment?
A: Please bring your Manitoba Health and insurance cards to your appointment.
Q: What type of payments do you accept?
A: We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
Q: What if I need equipment for my recovery, like crutches?
A: We carry some bracing in the clinic, but if you need additional equipment, you will be given a prescription and the location of the nearest medical store.

Q: Is the clinic accepting new patients?
A: Yes, all our physicians and allied health providers are accepting new patients.
Q: Do I have to make an appointment?
A: Yes, we are an appointment-based clinic.
Q: How do I book an appointment?
A: You can book by calling the clinic or booking online.
Q: Do I need to see a doctor first to get an x-ray?
A: Yes, a physician’s requisition is required for an x-ray.
Q: Do I have to bring my child to discuss their medical condition?
A: Yes, we require the child to be present for all in-person and phone appointments concerning their medical conditions.
