Meet Quinn Lavoie, 13, the unstoppable force lighting up the Manitoba Summer Games powered by Manitoba Hydro! This athlete is taking multitasking to a whole new level, showcasing her talents in both soccer and athletics. As a proud competitor for Team East, Quinn is making waves across two phases of the Games.

At just 12 years old, Quinn was the youngest-ever invitee to the Manitoba Soccer Provincial REX Program. Her skills on the field have only blossomed since then, and at these Games, she’s bringing that passion and precision to Team East’s soccer squad.

When asked about the highlights of her soccer experience so far, Quinn beamed, “Hanging out with my friends and getting to know them better on and off the pitch.”

Clearly, it’s not just about the game for her; it’s about the camaraderie and shared moments with her teammates.

Next Up, Athletics!

As she gears up for the athletics phase of the Games, she’s ready to step onto the track with the same enthusiasm. Having already made a splash at the Western Canada Games, where she earned 3rd place in the 800m and 4th in the 1200m, and with a commendable 3rd place finish in the women’s category at the Manitoba Marathon, Quinn is no stranger to the podium.

“I’m looking forward to meeting new people and testing my limits,” she says. Her favorite event? The 800m, where she holds a personal best of 2:20. With her track record of achievements and her positive spirit, there’s no doubt Quinn will continue to inspire.

From the soccer field to the track, Quinn Lavoie is a true multi-sport marvel at the Manitoba Summer Games.
