Gladwyn Scott passed away on August 25, 2022. He was 90 years of age. You can read his obituary here.
The Hamiota native was a longtime teacher, principal, and superintendent who helped co-found the Manitoba High School Athletic Association in 1962 and the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997. A member of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame, Gladwyn was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St. Mary’s Ontario in 2008 — an honor he was very proud of.
